Description: PaleoPebbles: Shell cast. A piece of an interior cast of a mollusk with a spiral shell. Note: a "cast" is made when a space is filled with sand or mud and it hardens to make a 3-D copy of the filled space. A "mold" is made when an object is pressed into soft mud and leaves an impression.
