Description: Modern tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvieri) tooth? Or is it the extinct Galeocerdo aduncas? The two species are virtually undiscernable, except for size. The lack of a nutrient groove and the definite notch between the strongly-serrated shoulder and the blade scream Galeocerdo, but the straight blade is somewhat unsettling. I have not seen other specimens like this described. Have you?
