The Game Genie accessory is the smartest gadget created for the NES. Games that were once impossible to complete had become an insult to your skills! You would rein vengence on bosses that angered you to the point of chaotic behavior! But is the game genie something to be used on all games? I think not...

The only games I believe you should use a game genie on are:

DO NOT use a game genie on these:

If you have beaten a game, I really don't see too much harm in using a game genie on it. Some certain games MUST be used with a game genie. EXCITEBIKE comes to mind...Have you ever tried something a little odd with your game genie(s)? Well, here's something I found cool.

That's right! You can connect a game genie to a game genie. Try as many as you'd like. Why do this you ask? Simple...YOU CAN INPUT MORE CODES! Pictured above is 4 game genies connected to a blaster master cart. Four game genies and you get to input 12 codes. How does this work? Well, the normal game genie prompt screen comes up first. You enter your first 3 codes and push start. Then another game genie prompt screen will come up. Enter those codes as well. Basically, if you have enough game genies, you can input as many codes as you'd like. Oh yeah...one other thing. Game Genies are NOT easy to connect. You really need to jam them together to connect them. It felt as if the contacts were going to crack, but they didn't ^_^ Game Genies weren't exactly meant to be connected to each other, so I'm not surprised. Just be careful when you are connecting them if you decide to do so. Once you use four or more game genies, you may need something to support it underneath...all of the game genies can get heavy. Try using Q-Tips as support. Or, you can place a cinder block on top of your NES to keep it from tipping over. Whatever way you choose to do it is fine.

Around the time the NES II was released, some people realized that their game genies wouldn't fit in their new-style NES. I have heard of some people actually getting it to work, but it was very difficult and probably wasn't too good for the system itself. So, some people complained to Galoob, I believe, so an adapter was created for these whining consumers. They never officially released it, just sent it to people that complained for free. Ipso facto, these adapters are quite hard to come by. I have a scan of the FRONT and BACK of my adapter. I put them on different pages to save space on this one :)

Game Genies are common and you shouldn't have any trouble finding one. Every once in a while, I see a brand new one on Ebay sell for about $30. A fair price, in my opinion, for a new one.
