"Tetris," also known as "cuatro" in Spanish, was created by Nintendo and also by Tengen Inc. Many people prefer the Tengen version as opposed to the Nintendo one. I for one, thought the Tengen version was a piece of crap. Sorry, my opinion. Shoot....should I start a new paragraph now? Ok..
Ya gotta think fast in this game. The lines go incredibly fast at level 22. My high score for this "mind game" is 424,760. I forget the number of lines, but I do remember that the same thing happened even if the score was 200,000. The little city lifts off instead of the flying saucer. I was hoping for the saucer to actually lift off this time, or maybe have a bunch of naked Russian chicks running around crazy. Oh well...maybe at 500,000....

The game is known as "Tetris" because of the number of blocks each shape is made out of. Each piece that falls down has 4 blocks to it. After concocting a solid line from the various shapes you are given, the line will disappear and you'll get points :) If you are able to take down 4 lines all at once, you'll get a "Tetris." Tetri are the main way to gain some awesome points in the game.
You can also choose another "type" of game in Tetris for Nintendo if you'd like. There is an "A-Type" and a "B-Type." I've been discussing the A-Type. B-Type gives you a bunch of crap on the screen and expects you to survive long enough to get the lines you need to win. I personally don't like cleaning up other peoples messes. Women should practice B-Type in my opinion. This will build necessary skills for when they grow to be a meddling housewife.
This game isn't all that expensive. $10 should be tops for a complete copy of the Nintendo version. If you want a complete Tengen, it all depends upon where you get it. Ebay is one place you could find it without a problem. May cost you $70 though ;) A complete Tengen version has the box, cart, manual, AND the poster. Many people think they have a complete one until they find out about the elusive poster. Don't forget the Tengen dust cover and the little styrofoam block :P
I give this game![]()
