The second game in the Zelda series, this game is much different from The Legend Of Zelda. Adventure of Link a has much different feel. You do see an overhead view while walking around on the world map, but when you enter a palace, cave, town, or battle sequence, the format becomes side-scrolling. Link can also jump in this game, unlike any other Zelda game. There is also a type of "leveling up" in this game that is absent in any of the other Zeldas.

As you can see, after so much experience points, you get this screen. You may choose to have your attack power to become more effective, raise your defense, or choose to have your magic not to be used up as quickly while using it.

After killing someone, you receive a few experience points. You can also load up on experience when finding a . These are located in particular points in the game and also can drop out of an enemy after you kill it.

This game was available in a grey and a gold cartridge. It was originally released as gold, then later released as grey. I find the grey one is more difficult to find than the gold one. I also heard something about the grey one having a better battery or something. I'm probably wrong. The reason I say this is because I went to a flea market and I asked a guy there if they had a grey version of Adventure of Link for sale. He said something like, "Oh, you must want the grey one because it has a better battery." I said,"No, I just want it because I already have the gold one." He looked at me weird and said,"But you already have it, why would you want a grey one?" I guess he didn't understand my collecting point of view.

This game is common. You should have no trouble finding it. It will generally cost $10-$20 complete. It's a very nice additon to anyone's collection.

I give this game
