One of the best classic games of all time! A side scrolling shoot-em-up with non-stop action is Contra. With several different weapons and power boosting items, this game privides an unlimited amount of playing time. Machine guns, rapid fire, flame throwers, lazers, spread guns!!! Spread gun owns all in my opinion. Just go up close to something and start shooting like mad, rapes the hell out of it. Whenever you're bored, you can just pop this baby in and blow up and kill tons of stuff. Without the code: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a and start, this game is pretty difficult. It took me several times trying to beat it that way until I finally was able to. Take a seat with a friend and relax with this game.
The replay value of this game is where the game totally excels. There's no way in hell I could count how many times I've beaten this game. Maybe 200? 300? Even so, I could probably play it through another couple hundred times and not be bored of it. I really don't know what else I can say about this game. I mean, it's a simple shoot em' up game, but it's damn fun. Not all games of this genre are quite as entertaining. I'm not sure what it is really. Maybe it's the way they guy jiggles when he shoots the gun, or maybe it's the noise you hear when you die....or the secret porno scene...
Also, there are 8 levels to this game: Jungle, Base 1, Waterfall, Base 2, Snowfield, Energy Zone, Hangar, and Aliens Lair. What a great game!
