Ain't it beautiful? Just amazing. Can't you just hear the angels singing?

The 1990 Nintendo World Championships was a large tournament in which you had to.....well....PLAY NINTENDO. Winners from each state in the US went onward to California where the Finals were held. They were in a heated competition playing the cartridge pictured above. There are 3 games on this multicartridge: Tetris, Rad Racer, and Mario Bros. This cartridge is timed. You have to score as many points as possible in 10 minutes. The one who scores the most is the victor. I believe that everyone that went to the Finals received one of these cartridges. This obviously makes the cartridge extremely rare.

So, you are asking "Where can I get one of these cartridges?" Well, I only know of 2 to exist, but I'm sure there are more out there. I would think at least 50. If you have one, let me know. To get one of these you must either be extremely lucky, or nice and rich. A friend of mine owns a grey cartridge, however, I've only heard of it being gold. I don't know why the one he has is grey. Maybe it wasn't meant to be given out, or it was given to the guy in last place that really sucked :) I dunno, but as you can tell from the pic of it below, the person that owned it really must have not given a #$%@ about it.

Below are some screenshots taken by a guy named Thomas that lives in Norway. He's a big fan of game collecting! How was he able to take these screenshots? Well, he bought a Snappy Video Capturer. Since he only has a European NES, I sold him a Magic Key convertor, which made these screens possible! I'm ok now......

And the winner. Yes the weiner boy that made it all of the way to the end. He must have felt like the NES Master when he won. The guys name was Thor Aackerlund. The mighty Thor! The Nintendo World Champ!

This game will generally cost you between $5 - $1,000 depending upon where you find it. Garage sales are a good bet. You know, those little punk kids that just GIVE away their NES stuff. Otherwise, if you are buying from a collector, prepare to sell your soul.
