Recognition and Thanks for Distinquished Service
FossilWeb is a community of people with a common interest. In this
community we help one another learn more about fossils by sharing our
knowledge with others. Many of us are newbies (like myself) and have a
hard time telling an unusual rock from a true fossil. We depend on the
generous assistance of the more experienced to help us learn the difference.
Through the years many have participated but a few have distinguished
themselves by volunteering extraordinary time and effort to this community.
It's about time we honored them and gave them our thanks. In the future I
will try to be more timely in giving recognition; so now I give you our
first three honorees, and declare them to be ...
Luminaries
Those who have exhibited extraordinary energy, endurance and patience
in sharing their knowledge with us

Confession time: I am not a fossil expert. My Ph.D. is in Computer Science,
not Paleontology. I merely write the code and administer the site that
enables you the FossilWeb community to do what you do. It is a testament
to your enthusiasm and commitment that FossilWeb succeeds. Kudos!
